Puerto Morelos is the closest of the three to Holbox (about 3 to 3.5 hours total) since it sits just south of Cancún, on the most direct line up Highway 180 toward Chiquilá. Two ferry operators run the Chiquilá–Holbox crossing — 9 Hermanos and Holbox Express — and they're effectively interchangeable: same price, same crossing time, same dock on both ends. Boats run roughly every 30 minutes from about 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and the crossing itself takes around 25 minutes, a bit longer if the water's rough. A one-way passenger ticket runs approximately 330 pesos (roughly $19–20 USD); children up to 8 years old pay a reduced fare of around 160 pesos. Fares are set by the ferry operators, not Caribe Nut, and can shift seasonally.

Your Caribe Nut driver drops you at the Chiquilá dock close enough to the ticket windows that it's a short walk with your bags, and does the same in reverse for a return pickup once your ferry lands back on the mainland. The ferry ticket itself isn't included in the ground transfer — it's a separate purchase made at the dock.
